Pakistan police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province killed 69 terrorists associated with the banned TTP outfit from January to March, resulting in the loss of 26 policemen. The TTP, similar to the Afghan Taliban, escalated terror activities after ending a ceasefire in November 2022, with 31 injuries in gunbattles and numerous attacks on police installations reported during this period. The province faced 29 attacks in January, 24 in February, and 15 till mid-March, including assaults on police posts and stations.
