The District Reserve Guard (DRG), along with STF and CRPF, is leading anti-Maoist operations in Chhattisgarh, experiencing significant casualties. Local recruitment and training at the Counter Terrorism and Jungle Warfare College have bolstered the state’s response, resulting in Maoist surrenders and some joining the police force. The efforts of these forces have been instrumental in combating Maoist insurgency in the region.
