Presenting blueprint on integrated theatre commands, creating them priority: CDS Gen Chauhan

Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan highlighted the importance of creating integrated theatre commands and a joint planning and operation room as key priorities for the military, following Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s declaration of 2025 as the ‘year of defence reforms’. Gen Chauhan mentioned the development of joint doctrines on various subjects and the upcoming release of a ‘Vision 2047’ roadmap for the armed forces. The government’s focus on theaterisation aims to integrate the capabilities of the Army, Air Force, and Navy for optimal resource utilization in wars and operations.
