Germany: Biden Administration allocates additional USD 500 million in military aid to Ukraine

The Biden administration approved an additional $500 million in military aid to Ukraine, including a package of weapons and equipment drawn from existing US stockpiles, announced by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin during his final trip to Germany. The package includes air defense missiles, F-16 support equipment, and small arms, delivered quickly through the Presidential Drawdown Authority. This move aims to bolster Ukraine’s defenses ahead of President-elect Trump’s inauguration and prevent further aggression from Russia, according to The Hill.
