Twelve Guinea baboons were culled at Tiergarten Nürnberg zoo in Germany due to overpopulation, sparking outrage from animal rights groups. Despite attempts to manage their breeding with contraceptives, the zoo deemed the culling a necessary measure after reaching 40 animals in an enclosure designed for fewer, leading to increased aggression among the baboons.
