Zimbabwe has suspended all exports of raw minerals and lithium concentrates immediately, including those already in transit, until further notice. The government aims to increase local processing and refining of minerals to benefit from the global demand for cleaner energy sources. This move comes as part of efforts to enhance efficiency and curb malpractices in the mining industry, which is the country’s second-largest contributor to its GDP.
