Man Steals Car After Threatening Pensioner with Spear Gun

A man was arrested in Papatoetoe for allegedly pointing a spear gun at an elderly man and stealing his vehicle. The incident occurred when the suspect attempted to enter a home on Wyllie Rd shortly before lunchtime but left empty-handed. He then approached a neighbor’s driveway, where he confronted a woman as she was driving out. Senior Sergeant Steve Albrey confirmed the arrest following the incident.
