Commuters in Ragem, Yemen, face daily challenges accessing the village market 70 km from Taiz due to unpaved roads, leading many to walk 6 km or pay exorbitant fares for four-wheel-drive transport. In response, local volunteers initiated a grassroots project three years ago to repair the roads, successfully paving over 124 meters recently. Additionally, residents have improved water access by drilling a well equipped with solar power, addressing critical needs amid ongoing humanitarian challenges.
