SINGAPORE: The attempted disposal of hundreds of books at Yale-NUS College on May 21 has sparked outrage among alumni and students, prompting the university to reverse its decision. Students witnessed books being loaded onto a disposal truck and attempted to intervene, but were told the books could not be donated due to RFID tags. Alumni reported that the disposed books included duplicates and faculty works, leading to community efforts to salvage them.
