Traffic congestion around the Auckland Harbour Bridge is worsening due to lane closures and high winds that have repeatedly forced the bridge to close. Long queues are reported, with delays extending kilometers north and south of the bridge, including gridlock from Newmarket for northbound traffic. Speed restrictions are also in effect. As of 3 PM, Google Maps indicated significant backups, particularly for those heading south.
