Man pleads guilty to filming people in Newmarket pool changing room

A man from Remuera has pleaded guilty to taking intimate recordings of nearly 400 unsuspecting users at the Newmarket swimming pool and gym over a six-year period. The incidents occurred in the men’s changing room at The Olympic Pools & Fitness Centre, where he used his cellphone to film. Initially facing 27 charges, he admitted to 15 amended charges related to making and possessing illicit material. None of the victims were aware they had been recorded.
