Hamleigh Holdings, the company operating two Christchurch Stirling Sports stores, has entered liquidation, owing nearly $800,000. The director, Simon Leigh, attributed the decision to the challenging economic environment, which has severely impacted sales and cash flow, alongside rising operating costs. Leigh had been attempting to sell the business for a year without success. The Northlands store is currently listed for $40,000, but total costs can reach $270,000 when fees and inventory are included.
