SINGAPORE: The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) announced a safety review following a morning accident at Woodlands Checkpoint involving a Singapore-registered car and a Malaysia-registered bus. Preliminary investigations revealed that the contraflow operation was incorrectly activated before barriers were set, violating safety protocols. The ICA is cooperating with the Traffic Police on the investigation and has suspended contraflow operations at both checkpoints until a thorough safety review is completed.
