Claire Phelan caused over £1,000 worth of damage at a petrol station in Hull after a drunken rampage where she smashed a hammer at the late-night pay hatch, making threats and waving the hammer around. Phelan admitted to the damage, attributing her actions to being heavily intoxicated at the time. She was given a one-year community order, 20 days’ rehabilitation, and ordered to pay £500 in compensation for the damage.
