Woman drank 15 cans of wine on flight

Karen Baker, 59, assaulted her partner and verbally abused passengers on a Virgin Atlantic flight after consuming 15 cans of wine during a nine-hour journey from Miami to London on February 9. Appearing at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court, she admitted to being drunk on an aircraft and using threatening language, while denying but being convicted of assault by beating; sentencing is set for November 12.
