A 70-year-old woman was killed after being struck by two vehicles while crossing Eglinton Avenue E. in Toronto on Wednesday morning. Both vehicles fled the scene, but a 48-year-old man later turned himself in and has been charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death and leaving the scene of an accident. Toronto police are still seeking the driver of the second vehicle. Local residents are advocating for improved road safety measures in the area.
