A fugitive named Zulma Guzman Castro, accused of murdering two schoolgirls in Colombia with poisoned chocolate-covered raspberries, was rescued from the River Thames in London. The alleged crime was reportedly an act of vengeance related to her affair with one of the victims’ fathers. The teenagers, Ines de Bedout and Emilia Forero, died days after consuming the tainted dessert. Castro, who denies the charges, fled Colombia and was being pursued by authorities before her rescue on December 16.
