Winter Storm Is Bringing at Least 6 Inches of Snow to the Northeast

A fast-moving winter storm is expected to bring heavy snow to the Northeast on Sunday, with at least half a foot from Maryland to Maine. The New York City metropolitan area could see up to five inches, while areas farther inland may receive seven to eight inches. A mass of arctic air will follow the storm, bringing frigid temperatures to much of the country, prompting preparations and warnings from officials in both the Northeast and the South.
