The Metropolitan Police has reopened its investigation into the Wimbledon school crash that killed two eight-year-old girls, Nuria Sajjad and Selena Lau, following concerns raised by the families of the victims and the former headteacher, Helen Lowe. The initial investigation concluded that the driver, Claire Freemantle, had a seizure and would not face criminal charges, but the families were critical of the thoroughness of the inquiry. The Met will now further examine “a number of lines of enquiry” to provide answers to the families’ questions and address their concerns.
