A 79-year-old pensioner, Muriel Middle, has faced severe financial distress after losing a legal dispute with her neighbor, Alexander Miles, over a fence between their properties in Pontyclun, South Wales. Ordered to pay £15,000 in legal fees, Muriel’s daughter, Sam, bought the home to prevent her mother from bankruptcy, as the legal battle stemmed from Miles’ extension construction that affected the fence.
