A 79-year-old pensioner, Muriel Middle, has faced severe financial distress after losing a legal dispute with her neighbor, Alexander Miles, over a fence between their properties in Pontyclun, South Wales. Ordered to pay £15,000 in legal fees, Muriel’s daughter, Sam, bought the home to prevent her mother from bankruptcy, as the legal battle stemmed from Miles’ extension construction that affected the fence. Muriel expressed feelings of injustice and stress, stating the situation has caused her significant distress and left her unable to afford basic necessities.
