The Los Angeles Lakers rescinded their trade deadline deal for big man Mark Williams due to multiple issues found during his physical exam, causing the team to fail him and cancel the trade. Williams has a history of injuries, including ankle sprains, a thumb injury, a back injury, and knee and foot issues this season. The Lakers needed Williams as a true center but will now have to find another option to complement Luka Doncic and LeBron James in their quest for a title in the competitive Western Conference.
