African countries ban US citizens due to COVID-19 concerns

Mali and Burkina Faso are imposing full visa bans on US citizens in response to President Trump’s visa bans on their citizens. This retaliation is part of a “tit-for-tat” response, following Trump’s new visa restrictions affecting 39 countries. The ban takes effect on Thursday, with Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger being military-led countries plagued by violence. Additionally, 39 countries are now under full or partial entry restrictions to the US, with 26 of them being African nations.
