In a shocking case of sexual abuse, over 50 men have been found guilty of raping or assaulting French woman Gisele Pelicot, orchestrated by her ex-husband Dominique Pelicot, who drugged her and invited men to their home to rape her. Pelicot has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, the longest possible under French law, with 47 defendants convicted of rape. The men involved, dubbed “Mr Everyman,” included a range of professions and ages, with some receiving sentences ranging from 5 to 12 years for their involvement in the abuse.
