Witkoff highlights Tehran’s nuclear evasion amid UN’s mixed signals

Steve Witkoff, the U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, revealed discussions with Iranian officials regarding their nuclear capabilities, including a claim of holding 460 kilograms of 60% enriched uranium, which could potentially produce 11 nuclear bombs. Despite these assertions, Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), stated there is no evidence of Iran constructing a nuclear weapon but acknowledged the nation has a significant stockpile of near-weapons grade enriched uranium and limited access for inspectors.
