Billy Bonds passes away at 79

West Ham United legend Billy Bonds has passed away peacefully at the age of 79. A devoted player for 21 years (1967-1988), he holds the record for the most appearances in the club’s history with 799 and captained the team to two FA Cup victories. Bonds later served as manager and was honored with a Lifetime Achievement award and the naming of the Billy Bonds Stand. He is survived by his daughters Claire and Katie, and grand-daughters Eloise and Elissa, with the club expressing heartfelt condolences to his family.
