West Coast Eagles delist forward Tyler Brockman after 30 matches

West Coast Eagles forward Tyler Brockman has been delisted following a season in which he did not play a single game. The 23-year-old is among three players released by the Eagles during their list management process, alongside Harry Barnett and Harvey Johnston. Brockman transferred to West Coast from Hawthorn three seasons ago in a trade involving mid-range draft picks. He faces court on November 11 for an alleged street fight in Geraldton last December and has had a challenging time with injuries, resulting in only four WAFL appearances this season. In his time with the Eagles, Brockman played 30 AFL games, scoring 38 goals, and ends his tenure with the club after being fined for a car crash incident last year.

Why It Matters

The delisting of Tyler Brockman highlights the West Coast Eagles’ ongoing list management strategy amid a challenging season. With the club finishing the season with a significant loss to Hawthorn, they are making critical decisions about player retention and recruitment. Brockman’s struggles with injuries and off-field issues contributed to his limited impact on the team, reflecting the broader challenges faced by the Eagles in recent years. The club’s decisions regarding player contracts are crucial as they look to rebuild and improve their performance in the upcoming seasons.
