Victor Wembanyama scored 35 points in his NBA playoff debut, leading the San Antonio Spurs to a 111-98 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round series. Wembanyama set a franchise record for most points in a playoff debut, surpassing Tim Duncan’s previous record of 32. The Spurs now lead the best-of-seven series 1-0, with Game 2 scheduled for Tuesday.
