Wegovy weight-loss pill launched by Novo Nordisk in the U.S.

A pill form of the weight-loss drug Wegovy, produced by Novo Nordisk, is now available in the U.S. at a starting price of $149 per month, with a higher dose available until April 15 for the same price before increasing to $199. This oral medication, approved by the FDA in December, contains semaglutide and offers a convenient alternative to injectable treatments. Clinical trials indicated users lost around 14% of their body weight while on the pill, similar to results from the injectable version.
