Reports surfaced last year that Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher had ended their relationship, with sources suggesting that the marriage began to unravel after Isla’s father passed away in January of that year.
However, new claims from The Sun on Sunday allege that Isla reached out to divorce lawyer Baroness Fiona Shackleton six months before her father’s death. Shackleton, known for representing Sir Paul McCartney in his divorce from Heather Mills, reportedly charges £550 an hour.
The couple denied the reports when contacted by Sun reporters, but a source confirmed that Isla had consulted with a divorce lawyer in the summer of 2022. Shackleton advised the couple to proceed amicably for the sake of their children, but also warned that she would take a tough stance if necessary.
It seems that Isla is seeking a peaceful resolution to their divorce, with Shackleton’s expertise serving as a deterrent to any potential disputes.
