People off the Kimberley coast are urged to prepare for damaging weather as Tropical Low 29U develops offshore, moving southwest along the coastline. The Bureau of Meteorology has issued cyclone advice for areas from Kuri Bay to Cockatoo Island, warning that 29U may reach cyclone strength by Monday evening or Tuesday morning, bringing gales with gusts up to 85 km/hr and heavy rainfall. Residents are advised to secure their properties and prepare emergency kits containing essential supplies, including food, water, and a battery-operated radio.
