America’s Cup: Naples, Italy, to host 38th edition in 2027

The America’s Cup will be hosted in Italy for the first time, with Naples selected to stage the event following a successful campaign in Barcelona in 2024. Emirates Team New Zealand will defend the Auld Mug during the regatta, which is set for 2027, coinciding with New Zealand’s autumn and winter, and will also feature the return of the Youth and Women’s America’s Cups. Grant Dalton, Team New Zealand and America’s Cup Event chief executive, expressed that Italy’s raw spirit and pride make it an appropriate location for the prestigious sailing competition.
