Road Closed Following Crash on State Highway 8 in Tekapo

Rescue helicopters are responding to a serious four-vehicle crash west of Tekapo, which occurred around 7pm on State Highway 8 between Tekapo Powerhouse Road and Braemar Road. Reports indicate that three individuals sustained serious injuries, while another has moderate injuries. Three rescue helicopters, along with additional emergency services including ambulances and a rapid response vehicle, were dispatched to the scene.
