Viola Davis collaborates with author James Patterson in new project

Viola Davis, an acclaimed actress and introvert, has co-written a novel titled “Judge Stone” with bestselling author James Patterson. The legal thriller follows a Black female circuit judge in Alabama who confronts a controversial case involving a teenage girl’s rape and illegal abortion. Davis drew on her own experiences with sexual assault to shape the character of the victim, aiming to address difficult topics that need more discussion. The book is set to release tomorrow.
