An Auckland resident, Matt Tolich, has struggled to sleep after construction began on a $500 million Fletcher Living housing project in Ellerslie. Residents received a notice indicating that work would take place nightly from 9:30 PM to 4:30 AM for nine weeks. On the first night, a large digger arrived, causing significant disruption by tearing up the footpath in front of his home. The unexpected intensity of the construction work has left him unsettled.
