A Vancouver woman, Marty Thorne, was found dead at RawSpa in Belize on Monday, having suffered eight stab wounds to her neck. Local police discovered her body near a river after a caretaker reported a pool of blood at the spa. One suspect is in custody, and authorities believe Thorne may have known the suspects, with her cellphone missing. Thorne had recently returned to Belize after living in Canada during the pandemic, and her sons have been notified of her death.
