Valve Discontinues Last LCD Model of Steam Deck

Valve has discontinued the Steam Deck’s last remaining LCD model, the 256GB version, and it will no longer be produced once sold out. Potential buyers can now only purchase the OLED model, starting at $549 for 512GB, which offers better battery life and a larger display. While the LCD model was a more affordable entry point for gamers, Valve will continue to support existing LCD devices with future software updates. This move follows the phase-out of other LCD versions since the Steam Deck’s 2022 release.
