Whistleblower Steve Gabavics revealed to Marc Lamont Hill that the US government, under the Biden administration, may have covered up the killing of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh by Israeli forces. Gabavics, who investigated the incident, concluded that Israel intentionally targeted Abu Akleh, who was shot 16 times while wearing a “press” vest, yet the State Department classified her death as “accidental” to avoid straining relations with Israel. He also noted that Abu Akleh is one of several American citizens killed by Israeli military actions without any accountability from the US government.
