US take Solheim Cup lead over Europe after foursomes

America’s golf women have taken an early lead in the Solheim Cup, leading Europe 3-1 after the opening foursomes at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia. Emily Pedersen and Maja Stark were Europe’s sole winners, defeating Ally Ewing and Jennifer Kupcho. World No.1 Nelly Korda, still seeking her first victory, played a key role for the American team.
