The US Supreme Court will hear arguments in January regarding President Trump’s attempt to remove Federal Reserve governor Lisa Cook, who remains in her position for now. A lower court ruled that Trump’s claims of Cook committing mortgage fraud were likely insufficient grounds for her removal, as the Federal Reserve Act requires “cause” for such actions.
