US sanctions Hezbollah members of parliament and Lebanese security officials

The United States has sanctioned nine individuals for allegedly aiding Hezbollah in undermining Lebanon’s sovereignty, with the list including Hezbollah members, an Iranian diplomat, and Lebanese security officials. The sanctions aim to disrupt Hezbollah’s financial networks and support ongoing peace talks between Israel and Lebanon. In response, Hezbollah dismissed the sanctions as ineffective and an attempt to intimidate Lebanese institutions. Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes continue in Lebanon amidst a fragile ceasefire.
