The US Open’s Arthur Ashe Stadium Renovation
The Arthur Ashe Stadium at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is set to undergo an $800 million renovation, marking the largest investment in the event’s history, according to USTA chairman Brian Vahaly. The project includes reconfiguring the stadium to increase lower courtside seating from 3,000 to approximately 5,000, along with a new player performance center and overall facility upgrades to enhance fan experiences. The renovations, funded entirely privately, are expected to be completed by 2027 without impacting upcoming US Open events.
