British Number 1 Jack Draper advanced to the fourth round at Flushing Meadows after defeating Botic van de Zandschulp in straight sets. Draper’s 6-3 6-4 6-2 victory set up a match against Tomas Machac, following the Czech’s own win in the tournament. Van de Zandschulp had previously caused a major upset by defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the earlier rounds.
