Chicago police announced five new murder charges against Antonio Reyes, 21, who they say killed six people within a nine-month span in 2020 when he was a teenager. Reyes was charged with five counts of first-degree murder and four counts of attempted first-degree murder for the killings, which occurred between March and November 2020, with victims ranging from ages 16 to 31. Reyes has been in custody since 2021 awaiting trial for other murder and attempted murder charges, and he pleaded not guilty to the new charges at an arraignment on Tuesday.
