A U.S. federal judge has upheld the conviction of Hannah Dugan, a former Wisconsin judge, for aiding an undocumented man, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, in evading federal immigration agents in her courtroom. Dugan confronted the agents, stating their warrant was insufficient, and subsequently led Flores-Ruiz out through a private door. Her defense claims the Trump administration targeted her for opposing its immigration policies, which have intensified enforcement in sensitive areas. Dugan, facing potential prison time, is likely to receive probation due to her lack of criminal history.
