US acknowledges progress on Ukraine peace plan, seeks more negotiation time
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, described the recent peace talks in Geneva with Ukraine as highly productive but noted that more time is needed to finalize agreements. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed optimism, indicating that there are signs of understanding from Trump’s team. While progress has been made, Rubio acknowledged that any proposals will require further negotiation with Russia, which remains unwilling to cease hostilities. European leaders have also proposed a counter plan that includes military caps for Ukraine and the potential readmission of Russia into the G8.
