US Confirms 157 Killed in Maritime Strikes

A senior US defence official informed Congress that 47 alleged drug-trafficking vessels have been struck in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific, resulting in at least 157 deaths. Despite a 20% decrease in vessel movement, experts doubt the strikes are curbing drug trafficking and criticize the campaign for breaching international law.
