PennRose Farms, LLC has recalled 1,152 cases (9,216 individual units) of five-pound mesh bags of cucumbers due to potential salmonella contamination, affecting distribution centers in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, and Ohio. The cucumbers, packaged between May 2 and 5, feature the PennRose Farms and Restaurant Depot logos and specific UPC and lot numbers. Consumers are advised to discard the cucumbers immediately, and those who may have consumed them should contact healthcare providers, as salmonella can cause severe health issues, particularly in vulnerable populations.
