A violent and unprovoked attack at a Rotorua playground over pink Crocs left a father with a broken jaw and concussion, disrupting his family’s sense of security. The offender, Francee Edwin Reweti Page, 51, received what the victim deemed a “pitiful” sentence of 150 hours of community work and two years of intensive supervision after pleading guilty to injuring with intent to injure. The incident occurred on January 7, nearly a year before Page’s sentencing on December 19. The charge carries a maximum penalty of five years’ imprisonment.
