All three of UND’s Team USA hopefuls—defenseman E.J. Emery, forward Will Zellers, and goalie recruit Caleb Heil—made the U.S. under-20 team for the World Junior Championship starting Friday in St. Paul. Team USA will face Germany in their opening game, while UND also boasts three players on the Canadian team, setting a school record for the most representatives at a single World Juniors. Emery, after a strong season, and Zellers, a late addition, have both made significant contributions to their team. Heil, one of three goalies on the U.S. roster, performed well in a recent exhibition match.
